Kenya set to host Amateur Junior Golf Championships

Kenya is getting set to host the Africa Amateur Junior Golf Team Championship next year.

The Chairman of the Junior Golf Foundation, Mr. John Muchiri, in his acceptance speech, promised to host a memorable event, adding that participants would enjoy the wonderful experience of true Kenyan hospitality.

Widely seen as the future of golf on the continent, Junior Golf is attracting much attention and hosting such events aims at building the exposure of young golfers across the continent and thus improve their competitiveness.

Meanwhile, the Mauritius Golf Federation is set to host the inaugural Region 4 event at the Tamarina Golf Course from the 24th to 28th August 2025.

This is part of the AGC Junior charter to develop the sport in Africa.

Six countries have already confirmed participation at this event namely; Mauritius, Madagascar, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Réunion.
